This blog is about my birding exploits, which mainly take place in the Weymouth/Portland area, in Dorset. Will also include stuff from elsewhere, plus some other critters too. Hope you enjoy. Osprey From The Bedroom Window

Thought this is all I'd get of this Osprey.

But luckily it circled a couple of times before continuing it's journey north. The photos were taken through the double glazing, so not the best of photos.

Now back to Sunday 1st April. Finally went to see the 2 Glossy Ibises at Radipole Lake.

Check out the green and purple glossing.

Never did photograph the 2 together and the hide had a few freaks  in it, so couldn't stick it out any longer.

Since that day, the best I've managed is a White Wagtail on The Fleet at Littlesea on 3rd April, with a Tawny Owl, 2 Grey Plover and 30 Sandwich Terns also there on 5th April.

Back to today and a return visit to Radipole. Just the 1 Glossy Ibis there today.

Always think they look kind of prehistoric in flight.

Another photo from today, just because I like it. A male Reed Bunting.
