This blog is about my birding exploits, which mainly take place in the Weymouth/Portland area, in Dorset. Will also include stuff from elsewhere, plus some other critters too. Hope you enjoy. Ruff And Ready

Spent most of me time on Lodmoor today, with the highlights being.....

These 3 Ruff.

And this Water Pipit.

It was always distant. Really smart bird though.

Plus, this female Marsh Harrier and

This male Marsh Harrier. Believe it or not, but this is an adult male. Some males mimic female type plumage.

This Grey Plover was unusual for Lodmoor for the time of year.

And now for some common stuff.

A pair of Wigeon.

Canada Geese.

Sorry, just liked this image of a Coot. Check out those knobbly feet.

Wren.

Wren having a bath.

Song Thrush singing.

Fieldfare.

Mistle Thrush.

Real handsome birds Mistle Thrushes.

You're the fire starter, twisted fire starter. No, I'm a Jay.

All photos today taken on or around Lodmoor, except for the female Marsh Harrier, which I later saw and photographed at Radipole Lake.

My 10km square photo year list is now on 57.
