My friend Ashley had come across from Hampshire for a day out birding today. He wasn't to be disappointed with Portland Bill being alive with birds, although the only oddity we managed to find was a single Woodlark flying over. After the morning spent at the Bill, we headed for Littlesea, The Fleet. The Red-breasted Flycatcher and Red-backed Shrike were still in residence, though we failed to find the Yellow-browed Warbler. Both the shrike and the flycatcher showed well, albeit distantly, and there was one incredible moment, when I was watching the shrike on the old army camp fence and the flycatcher landed on the fence next to it and was in the same field of view. Anyway, now for some shit photos.
