This blog is about my birding exploits, which mainly take place in the Weymouth/Portland area, in Dorset. Will also include stuff from elsewhere, plus some other critters too. Hope you enjoy. A Bit Of A Catch Up

On Wednesday I saw an Osprey head north over Lodmoor to a backdrop of booming Bittern and displaying Marsh Harriers.

The Osprey.

Today, started off at Ferrybridge, where a Little Gull was the highlight.

Then it was up to Portland, where other than a Black Redstart, it was somewhat quiet for migrants.

Off to Lodmoor and the surprise there was a new female Marsh Harrier shaking things up with the resident pair. Migrants seen at Lodmoor included Willow Warbler and Swallow.

The adult female.

The new female. What a bloody trouble maker. Will the male fall for the younger bird and do the dirty on his partner? Stay tuned folks.
