This blog is about my birding exploits, which mainly take place in the Weymouth/Portland area, in Dorset. Will also include stuff from elsewhere, plus some other critters too. Hope you enjoy. Great Knot

Certainly made me work for it. After dipping on it a couple of weeks ago, finally caught up with the classy looking adult summer that had been residing at Titchwell and surrounding areas, in Norfolk. My first definite new bird this year. Good scope views were had, so only record shots to share with you.

Spot the Great Knot.

During the two visits to Titchwell, it certainly provided some excellent birding, with Spoonbill, 8 Spotted Redshanks, 3 Little Gulls, a few Mediterranean Gulls, 6 Red-crested Pochards, Little Ringed Plover, Ruff, Barn Owl, Marsh Harriers, Hobby, Cuckoo, booming Bittern and, of course, stacks of Avocets. An impressive site indeed.
